Keuka College got on the board early with two goals in the first three minutes of the game. Devon Gerhardt found the goal first with an assist from Matt Jerman and then the two Wolves turned around and scored again, this time Jerman scored with the assist from Gerhardt. The Eagles had an answer to the second goal and scored one minute later but that would be followed by two solo goals from Keuka by Devon Gerhardt and Dylan DeLucia (Waterloo, N.Y. / Waterloo). Juniata found the net once more before sending the game into the second quarter with the Wolves up 4-2.

In a man-up opportunity, Harrison Root scored his first goal of the game in the first 12 seconds of the second quarter, from another Gerhardt assist. This would be the start of a hot streak offensively for the Wolves, they put up another three goals on the scoreboard and held the Eagles to zero during this frame. The teams headed to the break with the Wolves up 8-2.

The Eagles were the first to score coming out of halftime and would score three times in the third quarter, but the Wolves had answers to every point. Devon Gerhardt, Ian Rickard (Lockport, N.Y. / Lockport), and Harrison Root all recorded goals in the quarter, and Matt Jerman assisted two of them.

After an uneventful start to the final quarter, Keuka found their offensive rhythm again and scored five goals in a two-minute and 37-second span. During that time, Keuka also won all four faceoffs from both Enrique Castillo (Newark, N.Y. / Newark) and Frankie Rivera (Penn Yan, N.Y. / Penn Yan Academy). Juniata scored the last goal of the game, but the Wolves maintained their large lead and won 16-6.
