The Cardinals threatened early against the Wolves, but
Elianna Wilder was there with a pair of big saves. However, a misplay by the Wolves would lead to a St. John Fisher goal in the 17th minute. The lead did not last long, however.
Peyton Miller sprung
Shayla Vetter in on goal. The senior split the defender and cut around the charging keeper before depositing the ball in the back of the net to make it 1-1. While the stats favored the Cardinals, the Wolves did a good job with possession and limiting the chances by St. John Fisher. The game would go to halftime tied 1-1.
Wilder continued to come up big for the Wolves making a pair of difficult saves to keep the game tied at one. The pressure by the Cardinals proved too much in the 81st minute as they took a 2-1 lead. Fisher doubled the lead minutes later as Wilder made the first save but the second shot was hit in. The Wolves had a chance late but the shot was deflected wide. Keuka College fell to St. John Fisher 3-1 on Saturday.
