Keuka College was a step ahead of the Hawks from the start, linking up passes and building an offense. The Wolves had a chance in the 27th as a corner kick was sent into the box and got behind the Hartwick keeper, but the ball was eventually cleared by the defense. Hartwick's best chance came in the 34th minute as they got in behind the Keuka line and in on goal. Pelcher charged and made a big save to keep the game scoreless. The Green and Gold got their first goal of the season in the 39th minute. Off of a corner kick, Teagan Carter played it short to Parker Lahey. Lahey played it back to Carter at the edge of the box and the left-footed effort went over the goalie and in for the 1-0 lead.

The Wolves added to their lead six minutes into the second half. Kayla Suppa got the ball in the middle of the field and hit a streaking DeCapua through the middle of the Hartwick defense. The senior tucked the ball inside the right post for the 2-0 lead. The Hawks continued to press to get back in the game, but Pelcher was there for a pair of saves in the closing half-hour as the Wolves continued onto their first victory of the season.
