Keuka College Men’s Lacrosse Falls at Hartwick

ONEONTA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Lacrosse team lost on Saturday at Hartwick College 20-4 in an Empire 8 Conference game.

Brandon MacDonell scored a pair of goals for Keuka College (4-4, 0-3 Empire 8). Devon Gerhardt and Enrique Castillo each added goals for the Wolves.

The Hawks scored the first six goals of the game on Saturday. Brandon MacDonell got the Wolves on the board with a goal with 1:05 left in the first, but the Hawks answered in the closing seconds to lead 7-1 after one.

Devon Gerhardt scored for Keuka in the second quarter and Dylan Hoad made seven saves in the frame, but the Wolves would trail 11-2 at the half.

The Green and Gold scored a pair in the third quarter. Enrique Castillo won a faceoff and went right down the field to score. MacDonell added his second of the game, but the Hawks were in control of the action. Hartwick continued onto the 20-4 victory.

  • The Wolves remain in search of their first victory against Hartwick College. The Hawks have won all five meetings
  • After setting it last game, Dylan Hoad one-upped his career-high in saves, making 18 stops on Saturday
  • Enrique Castillo had seven faceoff wins and Stephen Baier had four for the Wolves
  • Baier moved into ninth place on the career faceoff wins list at Keuka College
Up Next for Keuka College: The Men's Lacrosse team will step out of Empire 8 play for a midweek game at Hilbert College. The Wolves and Hawks will faceoff on Wednesday, April 12. The Green and Gold are 11-1 all-time against Hilbert College.
