FREDONIA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Lacrosse team lost at Fredonia State 20-5 in a non-conference game on Wednesday afternoon.
Madeline Greene and
Julia Bauder each had a pair of goals for Keuka College (0-2, 0-0 Empire 8).
Alyssa Chase recorded 16 saves in goal for the Wolves.

The Blue Devils took a quick 3-0 lead over the Wolves, but Keuka closed the quarter strong.

Madeline Greene then converted a free-position shot with 34 seconds remaining to make it a one-goal game after 15 minutes.
Like the first quarter, Fredonia scored the first three goals in the frame to extend their lead to 6-2. The Wolves drew one back on a goal by
Maddie Fassinger, but the Blue Devils led 6-3 at the half.
The hosts created separation in the third quarter. Fredonia outscored Keuka 8-1 in the frame. Greene got the goal for the Wolves with
Sadie Bonetti getting the assist. Fredonia took a 14-4 lead into the final quarter.
The final quarter was a lot like the third with Fredonia controlling the play.
Julia Bauder scored her second, but the Wolves were outscored 6-1 in the fourth as Fredonia continued onto the 20-5 victory.

- Wednesday was the first time Keuka and Fredonia met in women's lacrosse. They are the 44th different opponent for the Green and Gold in their 18 years of competition
- Keuka College falls to 0-6 all-time against teams from the SUNYAC
- The 16 saves for Chase is a new career-high and tied for the fifth-most in a game in program history
- The Blue Devils controlled possession from the center circle, winning 26 of 29 draws
Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold have a week off until the next game. Keuka College returns to action on Wednesday, March 15 as the Wolves will play at Buffalo State for the first time.
