AURORA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Lacrosse team set a new program record with 27 goals as the Wolves defeated Wells College 27-2 on the road on Wednesday.
Matt Jerman and
Nicholas Pipher each scored a career-high six goals to lead Keuka College (3-1, 0-0 Empire 8). Jerman added five assists for 11 total points, tying for fourth-most in a game in program history.
Devon Gerhardt had another strong game with nine total points, scoring three and assisting on six.
Keuka College 27 at Wells College 2
The Wolves jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first three minutes as Pipher converted on the man-up and
Kyle Murphy netted a pair. The Wolves would show consistent offense throughout the first quarter. Keuka College totaled nine goals in the frame for the lead after the first.
Matt Jerman scored the first two goals of the second quarter for the Wolves with Gerhardt and Pipher getting the assists.
Dylan DeLucia found the back of the net. Keuka would push their lead to 14-0 before Wells scored with 4:47 left in the half.
Brandon MacDonell scored right before the half as the Wolves carried a 15-1 advantage into the break.
Gerhardt and Pipher opened the scoring in the second half. Wells got their second, but Gerhardt answered right back with a goal on the man-up.
Toby Tummino capped the scoring in the third as the Wolves outscored the Express 9-1 in the third to lead 24-2 after three quarters.
Devon Gerhardt scored his second man-up of the game to open the fourth.
Daniel Rustay capped the scoring with the first two goals of his career as the Wolves continued onto the 27-2 victory.

- Keuka College remains undefeated in 14 games against Wells College and perfect in their eight trips to Aurora
- The Wolves set a program record with 27 goals and a +25 margin of victory
- Gerhardt and Jerman helped facilitate the scoring with six and five assists respectively. Brandon MacDonell added three. As a team, Keuka had 18 assists, tying for seventh-most in program history
- The Wolves finished with 45 total points, the third-best all-time
- Stephen Baier went 15-18 at the faceoff spot and Enrique Castillo went 13-15. The combined 28 faceoff wins set a new program record
Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold return home for one last tune-up before starting Empire 8 play. Keuka College will host Keystone College at 4 p.m. at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex on Saturday, March 25. It will be the first-ever meeting between the Wolves and the Giants in men's lacrosse.
