KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Soccer team lost 5-1 on Saturday to Utica University in an Empire 8 game at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
Grace DeCapua scored in the first half for Keuka College (1-9-1, 1-4 Empire 8).
Sam Pelcher made six saves in goal for the Wolves.

It was a high-scoring start to the game on Saturday. Utica netted the first goal on their first shot in the fourth minute. The Wolves answered three minutes later on their first shot as

Grace DeCapua for the goal to tie the game. However, Utica answered right back with a goal in the ninth minute and followed that with tallies in the 13th and 18th to take a 4-1 lead over the Wolves.
The Wolves had a good chance in the second half as a ball was mishandled by the Pioneer keeper in the box, but she was able to recover before the Wolves got to it. Utica added a fifth goal in the second half. The Wolves had another good chance in the closing minutes as
Chaise Willis broke in on goal. Her initial shot was saved as was the rebound, however, Utica continued on to the 5-1 victory.
KC Notes:
- Keuka College is now 8-7-2 all-time against Utica University
- It was the first win for either team since Keuka joined the Empire 8 Conference. The previous two meetings were both draws
- It was the second goal of the year for Grace DeCapua. She leads the team in goals and is tied for the team lead with Lindsey Garbacz in points
- There were only four corner kicks in the game with Utica taking three and Keuka one
