KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — A pair of second half goals lifted Alfred University over Keuka College 2-0 on Wednesday night at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
Sam Pelcher made three saves in goal for Keuka College (1-10-1, 1-5 Empire 8).

Both teams fought for the ball and control of possession on Wednesday night under the lights. Alfred had their first chance in the 21st minute with back-to-back corner kicks. The latter provided the first shot in the game for either team. The Saxons had six total shots in the first, three of which were on goal.
Sam Pelcher made all three stops as the game went to halftime scoreless.
Alfred would take the lead in the 66th minute, but the Wolves continued to battle. Keuka College got their first corner kick of the game in the 74th and were able to work some offense with
Rosie Wallace getting off a shot, but it was saved. Minutes later,
Shayla Vetter found herself open in the box. She went top corner, but the Saxon keeper was able to leap for the save. Alfred was able to turn defensive pressure into a goal in the 83rd minute as they defeated Keuka College 2-0 on Wednesday.
