BROCKPORT, N.Y. — The Keuka College Field Hockey lost their first game of the 2022 season at SUNY Brockport 11-0 on Thursday.

Jordan Nichols made seven saves and Linzie Michel made three for Keuka College (0-1) against the Golden Eagles.

SUNY Brockport 11 vs. Keuka College 0
The host Golden Eagles used consistent pressure against the Wolves to build their lead. SUNY Brockport outshot Keuka 9-0 in the first quarter. Nichols made three saves in goal, but the hosts scored three as well as Brockport held the advantage after one.

Brockport would push the lead to 6-0, but Keuka would generate some offense late in the second quarter. The Wolves had a stretch of pressure with four penalty corners, resulting in three shots all on goal. However, they were all turned away as it remained 6-0 at the half.

The second half played much like the first with SUNY Brockport adding two goals in the third and three in the fourth. Keuka had another string of pressure with four more penalty corners in the fourth but was unable to convert as the Wolves fell 11-0 on Thursday.

KC Notes:
  • Keuka College falls to 0-7 all-time against Brockport
  • The Wolves have faced the Golden Eagles in all seven years that Keuka College has had a field hockey program
  • Kirstin Billings had three shots on goal for Keuka College
