KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Keuka College senior
Devin Milton (Opelousas, La. / Beau Chene) had a career week as the Wolves went 2-0 on the hardwood. Milton was honored by the Empire 8 Conference on Monday, naming him the Men's Basketball Co-Player of the Week.
The week opened for the Wolves with a tough home test against SUNY Geneseo. Milton hit seven threes against the Knights to set a new career-high and was one off of the program record. His 25 points and nine rebounds led Keuka College to their first win against SUNY Geneseo since January 1996.
Keuka College then took to the road last Friday as the Wolves played at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. There, Milton continued his hot play, knocking down a three with 31 seconds left to give Keuka College the lead. The Wolves would continue onto the 82-78 victory behind Milton's career-high 33 points. He also collected nine rebounds again in the win.
For the season,
Devin Milton is averaging 20.4 points and 4.9 rebounds to lead the Wolves. He has also hit 18 threes, shooting .439 from deep. He is tied for the league lead in scoring and ranks fifth in three-point percentage.
The Wolves finish the fall semester with a 5-2 record, their best performance since the 2005-06 season. Keuka College will return to action in 2003 with a tough Empire 8 test. The Wolves will host Nazareth College at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023.
