UTICA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Soccer team played Utica University to a scoreless draw on the road at Utica in an Empire 8 game on Wednesday.
Keuka College (2-6-5, 0-3-3 Empire 8) got six saves and a shutout from
Sam Pelcher in goal.
Ciarra Rudnick and
Chaise Willis led the attack with two shots on goal each.

Both sides had early attempts on goal, but neither side would convert. Shots were very even with Utica holding an 8-7 advantage. The Wolves had an edge in corners 2-1 in the half. Half of Utica's shots were on goal, but
Sam Pelcher made every save needed as the game would be tied at the half.
The Wolves would have the better run of play in the second half. Keuka College had a quality attempt in the 70th minute as Keuka was awarded a free kick.
Lindsey Garbacz lined up and took the 20-yard attempt, but it would be saved by the Pioneer keeper to keep the game scoreless. Utica had the final attempt, but Pelcher made the save with five seconds left as the game ended in a scoreless draw.

- The Wolves remain ahead in the all-time series against Utica 8-6-2
- The tie was the fifth of the year for Keuka and the third scoreless. It set a new program record for most ties in a season
- The Wolves finished with a 15-13 lead in shots, but the Pioneers led 6-5 in shots on goal
- Keuka College had three corners against Utica and conceded just one
Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold will play their final road game of the season on Saturday as Keuka College travels south to face Elmira College. The Wolves will look to stay hot against the Soaring Eagles as Keuka has won the last two meetings, outscoring Elmira 7-1 in those two games.
