HOUGHTON, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Soccer team lost at Houghton University 3-0 in an Empire 8 game on Saturday afternoon.
Carson Smith was in goal for Keuka College (1-8-2, 0-4-2 Empire 8) and tied his career-high with 12 saves for the Wolves.

The host Highlanders had the first chance off of a corner kick, but the shot was blocked by the Wolves defenders. On the counter-attack, Keuka raced down and
Griffin Herron got an early chance, but it was saved. Houghton answered back and continued to apply pressure on the Keuka net. The Highlanders struck first with a goal in the 21st minute. They would double their lead 10 minutes later and net their third five minutes after that. Houghton outshot the Wolves 12-1 in the first half and led 3-0 at the break.
Keuka College came out of halftime attempting to get back in the game. The Wolves had a pair of corner kicks in the opening minutes and got a shot attempt by
Brenden Moquin, but it was saved. Minutes later, Moquin had another attempt on goal but again was saved. That attempt in the 54th minute would end up being Keuka's final of the game. The Highlanders outshot Keuka 12-0 over the final 36 minutes. Seven of the attempts were on goal with Smith there to make every save. Houghton would play the game out for the 3-0 victory.

- Keuka College falls to 1-3-1 all-time against Houghton. The Wolves have lost three straight to the Highlanders
- Smith's 12 saves not only tied his career-high but also tied the most saves in a game by a keeper in the Empire 8 this season. No one else besides Smith has recorded 12 saves or more in a game in the conference.
