Box Score KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team lost in four sets at home to Nazareth College in an Empire 8 Conference match on Wednesday night.
Keuka College (4-9, 1-2 Empire 8) was led by Tionna Moss with 11 kills. Lauren Kuipers led the defensive efforts with 23 digs on Wednesday.
Nazareth College 3 at Keuka College 1 – 17-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-22
In a close first set, Keuka College took the early lead, but the Golden Flyers rallied to regain the lead. The damage for the Wolves came in the middle of the frame as Keuka converted seven straight to build an 18-13 advantage. After a Nazareth point, Keuka scored the next four to extend the lead to 22-14. The Green and Gold saw it out as Lauren Kuipers hit an ace to give the Wolves the 25-17 first set victory.
The Golden Flyers responded in a loud way as they scored the first three points of the second and never trailed. Nazareth took the second 25-16 to level the match at 1-1.
It was Keuka's turn for the early lead in the third as the Wolves scored the first three and would push the lead out to 7-3. However, Nazareth scored the next six to regain the advantage in the third. The Golden Flyers continued on to the 25-17 third set victory.
The fourth was back and forth that had a pair of lead changes and was tied five times. Nazareth led by as many as nine during the set, 20-11, but the Wolves would not go away. The Green and Gold cut into the lead with five straight. The teams would trade points and fall to match point for Nazareth at 24-17. But Keuka continued to battle. They scored staved off five match points to draw the score to 24-22. The sixth was the final stand for Nazareth though as the Golden Flyers got a kill to take the set 25-22 and win the match 3-1.

- Wednesday was the 47th match all-time between the Wolves and Golden Flyers. Nazareth is the fourth-most frequent opponent in program history
- Lauren Kuipers was one off her career-high with 23 digs in the match
- Kuipers also hit an ace on Wednesday, giving her 19 on the season, setting a new personal best in a season
- Lillian Mueller had nine kills, surpassing 100 for the season
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves have a tri-match on Saturday against some old friends. Keuka College will travel to former conference-mate Morrisville State for the tri-match where they will face the Mustangs as well as another former conference-mate, SUNY Poly.
