Box Score

PITTSFORD, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Soccer team lost at Nazareth College 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in an Empire 8 Conference game.

Nazareth College 3 vs. Keuka College 0

The Golden Flyers came out fast and pressed the Wolves from the beginning. Nazareth outshot the Wolves 11-0 in the first half and had the only four corners in the opening 45 minutes. Of the 11 efforts, only four were on frame, however, and Pegg turned away all four as the game remained scoreless at the break.

Nazareth continued to control the game and pulled ahead on 66 minutes, hitting home a short cross into the box. Minutes later, their advantage doubled as Pegg turned away the initial shot, but the Golden Flyers hit in the rebound. Nazareth added a third in the final minutes as they defeated the Wolves 3-0 on Saturday.

KC Notes:

  • The Wolves are now 5-11 all-time against the Golden Flyers and 3-6 in games at Nazareth
  • The two schools first met in 1987, but their last meeting was in 2007
  • The 15 saves by Pegg is a new career-high for the senior and most by a Keuka College keeper since Kenna Kosinski made 15 against Penn St.-Berks in October 2014
