KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Keuka College junior goalkeeper Payton Malec has been named the Empire 8 Women's Soccer Co-Defensive Player of the Week, sharing the honor with Utica's Olivia Duro, following a pair of standout performances that helped the Wolves earn two important conference draws.

Malec opened the week by making three saves in a 1-1 draw against SUNY Poly before turning in one of the top performances of her collegiate career on Saturday.

The junior stopped a season-high 11 shots in a scoreless draw at Alfred University, recording her third shutout of the season while helping Keuka College secure another valuable point in the Empire 8 standings.
