Box Score ELMIRA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team was swept by Elmira College in the first round of the 2021 Empire 8 Women's Volleyball Tournament.
Keuka College finishes its 2021 season with a 9-18 record. Kelsie Allen with seven kills. Delaney Yorks finished with 20 assists and 11 digs for the Wolves.
Elmira College 3 vs. Keuka College 0 – 25-22, 25-15, 25-20
After a back-and-forth start, a 5-0 run by Elmira College gave the hosts a 13-8 advantage in the first and forced Keuka College into a timeout. The Green and Gold cut the margin back to two following an ace by Megan McCann, but the Soaring Eagles reestablished their lead. Keuka put together a late rally by the hosts closed out the first set 25-22.
The two teams traded points and lead early in the second set. In total, there were three lead changes in the frame and the set was tied eight times. The Soaring Eagles built a three-point lead at 13-11 as Keuka College took a timeout. Following the break, Keuka cut the lead down to one, but Elmira responded, taking their largest lead of the set. The Soaring Eagles won the second 25-15 to lead the match 2-0.
Keuka College came out to a fast start in the third set. The Wolves built a 6-2 lead over the Soaring Eagles. An ace by Ericka Carlson led to Elmira calling their first timeout. Following a second timeout, Elmira College rallied to tie the set at 14-14. Elmira College the lead at 19-18, but the Wolves quickly tied it on a kill from Kelsie Allen. The set would be tied 20-20, but the Soaring Eagles scored the next five points to take the third 25-20 and sweep the match.

- The Wolves fall to 5-31 all-time against Elmira College and 0-14 in games played at Speidel Gymnasium
- Ericka Carlson posted three aces in the match for the Wolves. She finished the year with a team-high 54
- Delaney Yorks was just the ninth player to surpass 800 assists in a career at Keuka College. She finished with 812 in her three years of competition
