CANTON, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team lost on Friday night in straight sets at St. Lawrence University.

Keuka College (9-15, 3-5 Empire 8) was led by Megan McCann with seven kills. Four Wolves finished with double-digit digs on Friday, led by Lauren Kuipers with 14 on the night.

St. Lawrence University 3 vs. Keuka College 0 – 25-19, 25-23, 25-20

The Wolves played a clean first set with 13 kills against just four errors, but the hosts built a double-digit lead over Keuka in the set. The Green and Gold made a late run but St. Lawrence closed out the first 25-19.

The lead was traded back and forth throughout most of the second set. Coming out of a timeout, Dayna Edholm hit a kill to draw the Wolves within one. A pair of errors gave Keuka College the lead at 23-22, but a kill by St. Lawrence snapped the run. The Saints then hit a pair of aces to close out the second and take a 2-0 lead in the match.

St. Lawrence played with the lead for most of the third set but the Wolves tied the set multiple times. Keuka College drew it level at 16-16. The Saints would regain the lead and play the third out as they took the set 25-20 to sweep the match.

• Keuka College falls to 5-9 all-time against St. Lawrence. The Saints have won the past four matches
• Dayna Edholm hit .455 on the day with six kills on 11 attempts with just one error
• 69 digs was a season-high for Keuka College in a three-set match. It was 20 more than the previous three-set high
• Along with Lauren Kuipers, Ericka Carlson had 13 digs, Lillian Mueller had 12 digs, and Delaney Yorks finished with 11 digs

Up Next for Keuka College: The Green and Gold will conclude their trip in the North Country on Saturday with a pair of matches at Clarkson University. Keuka will open the day against SUNY Cortland and then face the host Golden Knights to close the weekend.
