Box Score HOUGHTON, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Soccer team earned their first Empire 8 Conference victory on Saturday, winning on the road at Houghton College 3-0.
Lindsey Garbacz scored the first goal for Keuka College (2-10-2, 1-4-1 Empire 8) and it proved to be the game-winner. Grace DeCapua and Peyton Miller added goals for the Wolves in the win.

The hosts started fast with an early corner 68 seconds into the game on Saturday. Houghton College had a pair of shots in the opening 10 minutes of play, but senior keeper Jessica Pegg was there for the saves. The Wolves pulled ahead in the 17th minute as Garbacz found the back of the net to make it 1-0 Keuka. The Highlanders had only one other shot in the first, but it went high of the net as Keuka controlled the play. Grace DeCapua scored her team-leading fourth goal of the year on 36 minutes as Keuka College led 2-0 at the half.
It was an evenly played second half with Keuka holding a slight edge, 7-5, in shots and each team had a pair of corners. Peyton Miller put the game away in the 57th as she collected the ball off a Carli Zollo shot and put it in the back of the net for the 3-0 lead. The Green and Gold would see the game out for their first Empire 8 Conference victory

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will look to carry the momentum into a strong finish in conference play. Keuka College has a pair of home E8 games coming up this week. Keuka College will host Utica College at 7pm on Wednesday. The Wolves will then welcome Elmira College to the Jephson Community Athletic Complex on Saturday afternoon.
