Box Score MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team lost in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Quarterfinals in straight sets at Morrisville State on Tuesday evening.
Keuka College ends its season with a 7-22 record. The Wolves were led in kills by Meg Calhoun and Lauren Moelbert, each with six. Emily Cottrell finished with a team-high 13 digs.
Morrisville State 3 (25, 25, 25) at Keuka College 0 (9, 13, 20)
Morrisville State came out strong against the Wolves on Tuesday. The Mustangs used multiple runs in the set to grow a lead. The Wolves only had two kills in the set as Morrisville won the open 25-9.
The Mustangs once again established an early lead over the Wolves and did not look back. Morrisville State won the second set 25-13, taking a 2-0 lead in the match.
Keuka College battled in the third set. They trailed by two, 9-7, when Morrisville State went on a run. Down, 18-9, the Wolves scored five straight to narrow the margin to four points, but it was not enough. Morrisville State would go on to win the third set 25-20, sweeping the match in straight sets.
