Box Score LANCASTER, Pa. – The Keuka College Men's Basketball team fell to #20 ranked Lancaster Bible College 100-80.
Keuka College (6-8, 3-5 NEAC) will remain on the road as they face Penn St.-Berks on Friday at 2pm.
Greg Tyler set a new career-high in scoring with 21 points to lead Keuka. He made three three-pointers and went a perfect 8-8 from the line. Casey Williams added 12 points in the loss. Jelani Fontanez and Trevor Powell each finished with 10 points for Keuka. The performance marked a career-high for Fontanez.
The two teams traded baskets early on, but the undefeated Chargers started to grow a lead. Keuka kept the game within striking distance. Greg Tyler hit a three pointer off the dribble to tie the game at 18-18. A minute later, Jelani Fontanez hit a runner in the lane to draw the game level again. Lancaster Bible went on an 8-0 run to take the lead over Keuka. James Outlaw made a reverse layup to stop the run. Tyler once again hit a three pointer, this one from NBA range, to make it a three-point game, 32-29. Greg Tyler finished with 14 points in the half. That would be as close as Keuka would make it in the half, however. The Chargers pushed the lead out to double figures. Casey Williams hit a three to drop the margin back to single digits, 44-36 with just under three minutes left in the half. Lancaster Bible carried a 52-43 lead into halftime.
The Chargers came out strong in the second half. They opened the frame on a 9-0 run and did not look back. Overall, Lancaster Bible outscored Keuka 48-37 in the half on their way to the 100-80 victory.
