Box Score Senior Trevor Healey (Wethersfield, Conn./Wethersfield) scored 13 points with nine rebounds, but the Keuka College men's basketball team fell to RIT 69-47 Tuesday evening in the Wolfpack's home opener inside the Weed Physical Arts Center.
Healey shot 46.2 percent from the floor (6 of 13), but the rest of the Green and Gold (2-3) shot just 30.3 percent (10 of 33) against the Tigers (5-0).
Junior Casey Williams (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) added 7 points with 6 rebounds and 2 steals, and senior Adam Starks (Wellsville, N.Y./Andover) had seven points with two rebounds for the Wolfpack.
Starks shot 66.7 percent (2 of 3) on '3s', but the rest of the team hit just 13.3 percent (2 of 13) from beyond the arc.
RIT shot 42.9 percent from the floor (24 of 56), including 55.2 percent (16 of 29) during a 37-point second half.
The Tigers were led by J.P. Reagan (15 points, four rebounds), and Joe Stortini (14 points).
RIT scored the game's first seven points, but Healey responded with seven straight points to knot the score with 11:32 remaining in the first half.
Trailing 10-7, freshman Cliff Stevens (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) hit a jumper to slice the deficit to one, but the Tigers answered with a 13-1 run and led 23-10 with 5:42 remaining in the opening half.
RIT led by at least 10 points the rest of the half and took a 32-16 lead into halftime.
The Wolfpack pulled within 13, 46-33 on a free throw by Starks with 10:48 remaining, but Keuka would get no closer and dropped its second straight.
Stevens and senior Jared Wagner (Pittsford, N.Y./McQuaid) led the Green and Gold with two assists, while Wagner added three steals in the setback.
Keuka hosts SUNY ESF at 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
