Junior Rachel Parker (Chaumont, NY/Thousand Islands) recorded a season-best 7 aces to go with 14 assists and 5 digs and five student-athletes record six or more kills as Keuka College's women's volleyball team closed out the regular season with a three-set sweep of Morrisville Sate Saturday afternoon on Parents' Day.

Junior Paige Golden (Kent, NY/Albion) added 12 kills and five digs, while sophomores Devan Curtis (San Clemente, CA/San Clemente) and Dani Alred (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) each added seven kills as the Storm (23-7) picked up their 17th sweep of the season inside the Weed Physical Arts Center.

Curtis added seven digs while juniors Deliane Lessard (Rochester, NY/Genesee Community College) and Gina Ferruzza (Penfield, NY/Webster Schroeder) each added six kills as Keuka won its fourth straight match by scores of 25-16, 25-16 and 28-26.

Parker won nine consecutive service points in the first set to snap a 7-all tie as the Storm took a 16-7 lead en route to the first-set win. Keuka had 11 aces and served the ball with precision, mixing up between deep and shallow serves to keep the Mustangs (5-18) off-balance.

"We know that we're capable of playing how we need to play to win and advance in the postseason," said Golden, one of the Storm's co-captains with junior Jill Nolan (Johnson City, NY/Maine-Endwell).

"I think we're serving really well right now. A lot of us who were struggling serving for the past couple of weeks have really picked it up. Our coach (Ben Guiliano) has really focused on that because that's one of the only parts of the game that you can totally control. Serving is all you, you serve the ball and you have control over where it goes."

Ferruzza led the way with a .500 hitting percentage, with no errors on her 12 attempts. Alred and Curtis both hit better than .214, with Alred managing a .286 percentage after three errors in 14 attempts, and Curtis a .214 percentage with four errors in 14 attempts.

Nolan added 19 assists and four digs while classmate Taylor Smith (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) added 19 digs and three assists for the Green and Gold, who held their fundraiser to support local military families.

Both Golden and Smith continued to climb the Keuka record books, as Golden (354 kills) now has the third-most kills in a season, while Smith (487 digs) has the third-most digs in a season in school history.

The Storm wore green camouflage jerseys and sold green "KC Supports Our Troops" drawstring bags to raise money for military families in and around the Keuka community. The jerseys will be sold, with all proceeds going to Operation First Response, a national organization that assists military families in the area.

Keuka has earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming North Eastern Athletic Conference postseason tournament, and both top-seeded Gallaudet University and Keuka earned byes into the semifinals.

Penn State-Berks earned the No. 3 seed, Lancaster Bible (8-3) earned the No. 4 seed, SUNYIT (7-4) wrapped up the No. 5 seed and Abington (6-5) netted the No. 6 seed.

Keuka will face the winner of Berks and Abington in one semifinal and Gallaudet would meet the Lancaster Bible/SUNYIT winner in the second semifinal match on Saturday. Both semifinal contests start at 11 a.m., with the winners of those two semifinals squaring off for the NEAC championship at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

"Our confidence is high and we're feeling good," said junior Meg Houlihan (Elysian, MN/Minnesota State).

"We were able to finish the (Morrisville) match strong at the end, which is always important. We know what we're capable of, so we're going to bring that out during NEAC's. We just need to play our game, come out ready to play and be confident in ourselves. There's always room for improvement, and we're going to just keep working hard in practice and do the best we can."

The winner of the postseason tournament earns the conference's automatic qualifier into the NCAA Division III tournament.
