Junior Paige Golden (Kent, NY/Albion) had 8 kills, 2 digs and 2 blocks and classmate Jill Nolan (Johnson City, NY/Maine-Endwell) added 10 assists, 5 service aces and 3 digs as the Storm (13-3, 4-0 NEAC) picked up its eighth straight victory, sweeping Wells College Tuesday night.
The Green and Gold won by scores of 25-15, 25-12 and 25-21.
Keuka has not lost since a four-set setback against SUNY Fredonia on Sept. 14, part of the Hilbert Invitational. This was the seventh time during the winning streak that the Green and Gold has swept a match, and the ninth time overall.
Sophomore Devan Curtis (San Clemente, CA/San Clemente) added 6 digs, 5 kills and 2 service aces while junior Taylor Smith (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) had eight digs for the Storm in the win over Wells (1-15, 0-4 NEAC).
After taking a 14-11 lead in the first set, Nolan led the Storm on an 8-0 run, highlighted by a pair of service aces. In the second set, Golden and freshman Morgan Eberley (Utica, NY/Whitesboro) each had three kills as Keuka took a 21-9 lead before winning the set.
Gina Cairns had 11 kills, Nicole Loeven added 12 digs and Taryn Heath had 14 assists for Wells.
The Green and Gold returns to action with this weekend's crucial NEAC crossover competition at Cazenovia College.
Keuka, which won all three matches at the first NEAC crossover competition, faces Morrisville State and SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday afternoon and Cazenovia and SUNYIT on Sunday during the second crossover competition.
