Women's Volleyball Sweeps Wells

Junior Meg Houlihan (Elysian, MN/Minnesota State) recorded 9 kills, 5 digs and 2 solo blocks and classmate Paige Golden (Kent, NY/Albion) posted her 16th double-double of the season as the Keuka College women's volleyball team swept Wells College Tuesday night inside the Weed Physical Arts Center.

Golden had 11 digs and 10 kills while Houlihan added a season-best nine kills with only one error in 14 attempts, a team-best .571 hitting percentage, as the Storm (19-6) posted their 14th sweep of the season.

Sophomore Devan Curtis (San Clemente, CA/San Clemente) had eight digs and six kills with one error on 17 attempts (.294 percentage) while freshman Morgan Eberley (Utica, NY/Whitesboro) added 6 kills, 4 digs and 2 aces in the win over Wells (2-24, 1-7 NEAC).

An efficient Storm attack featured four student-athletes with six or more kills and a .294 hitting percentage or better, led by Houlihan. Eberley had only two errors on her 11 attempts (.364) while Golden had three errors in 23 attempts (.304) as Keuka hit .313 as a team.

Junior Jill Nolan (Johnson City, NY/Maine-Endwell) added 26 assists, 2 aces and 2 digs while classmate Taylor Smith (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) added a team-high 12 digs for the Storm.

At 7-1 in the NEAC, Keuka sits in second place in the conference with three conference matches remaining, including this weekend's third of three NEAC crossover competitions.

The Green and Gold will face first-place Gallaudet (8-0 NEAC) at 3 p.m. and Penn State-Abington (4-4) at 5 p.m. on Saturday before facing Penn State-Harrisburg (1-7) at 10 a.m. Sunday.
