Keuka College

Phil Rahr joined Keuka College as an athletic trainer in 2014. Phil is a proud alumnus of Keuka College, graduating in 2007 with a degree in Biology. followed by a master’s degree in athletic training from Shenandoah University in 2009.

Prior to returning to his alma mater, Phil served as the head athletic trainer for elite hockey and soccer teams at Shattuck-St. Mary’s School in Minnesota 2010-2014.

Phil is a certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification. He is also registered with the New York State Department of Education and is a member of both the National Athletic Trainers Association and the New York State Athletic Trainers Association. Phil is also an instructor for Mental Health First Aid and serves on the Keuka College Mental Health Task Force.

Phil has focused on evidence-based practice, concussion care, manual therapy and therapeutic exercise. Beyond his work at Keuka College, Phil is very active in the local Penn Yan community having serviced on the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Outlet and volunteering with other agencies in the area.

He is an avid traveler and outdoorsman with recent trips to Switzerland, Montenegro, and Turkey. Phil resides in Penn Yan, NY
