KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Soccer team surrendered a pair of goals in the 89th minute to fall to SUNY Morrisville 2-0 as they opened their 2026 season at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.

Jakob Snyder made six saves, including stopping a penalty kick when the game was scoreless in his first game for Keuka College (0-1).
Jack Currin led the offensive efforts with three shots off the bench for the Wolves.

The Wolves had a good start to the game on Wednesday.
Timothy Cowin had a good chance from the top of the box in the third minute, but the Mustang keeper just got a finger to it to tip it wide. The Wolves held the possession advantage throughout the opening frame, but the effort by Cowin would be Keuka's only shot on goal. The game went to the half scoreless.
Coming out of the break, the Mustangs increased their possession and pressured the Wolves. The game could have shifted in the 50th minute as SUNY Morrisville was awarded a penalty kick. The shot went to the lower left corner, but
Jakob Snyder made the diving stop for the Wolves to keep the game tied. Snyder would be called upon for more saves in the frame, recording five of his six in the second half. In the 89th minute, Snyder made a good save on a point-blank shot in the box. Unfortunately, the ball went right to a Morrisville attacker who put the rebound under the crossbar for the 1-0 advantage. 45 seconds later, a longer shot from Morrisville went over a leaping Snyder and inside the far post to seal the game as the Mustangs defeated the Wolves 2-0.

- The Wolves fall to 6-12-1 all-time against SUNY Morrisville. The Mustangs have won the last three matchups, all coming in season-opening games
- Keuka College has lost their last 10 season-opening games. The last win to open the season was a 4-1 defeat of St. John Fisher in 2016
- The Wolves held the advantage in possession, 52%-48%, and corners, 5-4, on Wednesday
- Keuka had a handful of fresh faces in their Starting XI on Wednesday. The lineup featured three first-years, three transfers, and five players returning from the 2025 squad
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves now turn their sights to their first road game of the season. Keuka College will travel north to SUNY Potsdam to face the Bears on Saturday. Keuka will be looking for its first win against SUNY Potsdam since the 1999 season.
