Reed Records Career High in Season Opener

MEADVILLE, P.A. – The Keuka College Field Hockey team opened the 2026 season on Tuesday afternoon with a 6-0 loss on the road at Allegheny College. The matchup marked the
first meeting between the Wolves and Gators in program history.

Junior goalkeeper Khadeeja Reed recorded a career-high 14 saves for Keuka College (0-1, 0-0 Empire 8).

The Gators got on the board early, scoring less than three minutes into the game. Keuka College responded with a penalty corner less than a minute later, but Allegheny carried the 1-0 advantage into the second quarter.
Allegheny extended its lead just 22 seconds into the second. The Gators continued to apply pressure, but Reed made seven saves in the quarter. Allegheny added two more goals in the frame to take a 4-0 lead into halftime.
The Green and Gold came out strong defensively in the third quarter. Reed made three saves as the Wolves held Allegheny scoreless despite seven shots from the Gators. Offensively, Ashley Pospiech and Paige Bull each put a shot on goal for Keuka, but both were saved.
Allegheny added a pair of goals 30 seconds apart in the fourth quarter to close the scoring at 6-0.
