CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Softball team earned an Empire 8 split on Friday against SUNY Poly at Finger Lakes Community College.
Keuka College (3-10, 1-3) won the first game 11-3 in five innings, but SUNY Poly bounced back to defeat the Wolves 9-1 in six innings in game two.
Keuka College 11 vs. SUNY Poly 3 (5 innings) – Game 1
SUNY Poly took the lead in the top of the first, but Keuka got it back in the second as
Lindsay Stuck led the inning off with a single. She stole second and then scored on a single by
Olivia Flynn to tie the game.
Stuck helped the Wolves again her next time up as she hit a two-run single in the third to give the Wolves a 3-1 advantage. Keuka added to their lead in the fourth with four more runs.
Katie Landers hit a two-run triple for the Wolves. She later scored in the inning as did
Hailey Jasinski as the Wolves led 7-1.
The Wildcats scored two in the top of the fifth, but the Wolves ended the game in the bottom of the inning.

Grace Eagen ended the game with a single to right to score Jasinski as the Wolves won 11-3 in five innings.
SUNY Poly 9 at Keuka College 1 (6 innings) – Game 2
SUNY Poly scored two in the top of the first to stake the early lead. Keuka answered with a run in the bottom of the inning. Flynn and Landers led off the game with singles for the Green and Gold on the first pitches they saw.
Gabby Glanville also swung right away, scoring Flynn with an RBI groundout.
However, the Wildcats would regain the lead in the third as they took advantage of four hits, two walks, and a Keuka error to score four runs and build a 6-1 advantage.
The Wildcats added a run in the fifth and two in the sixth. Keuka looked to extend the game in the sixth as they loaded the bases, but SUNY Poly got a groundout to end the game in six innings, 9-1.

- Keuka College earned their first Empire 8 victory over SUNY Poly. The Wolves are 42-10 all-time against the Wildcats
- The top of the order did the damage for Keuka in game one as Flynn, Landers, Jasinski, Eagen, and Stuck all had multi-hit games
- It was Flynn's 57th pitching appearance for the Wolves, fourth-most in program history. She moved into fifth on the career innings pitched list as well. The senior earned the win, allowing four hits over five innings, striking out five
- With Landers and Jasinski each having a pair of triples, career-highs, the Wolves were one off the program record for triples in a game as a team. The two triples each tied them for the individual program record
- Landers set a career high with four runs driven in
- Katie Landers added two more hits in game two for the Wolves
- Giana Mruczak doubled for Keuka in game two
- Lizzie Kocsis struck out a career-best four in the nightcap
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will remain at Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday as they host Utica University in an Empire 8 doubleheader. First pitch between the Wolves and Pioneers is set for 1 p.m.
