KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — Keuka College Men's Basketball senior
Lamar Lovelace was named Empire 8 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the second time in the past month.
It marks the first time that any Keuka College Men's Basketball Player has earned the honor twice in a season.
Lovelace had a big weekend for the Green and Gold as Keuka College won a pair of road games in conference to clinch a playoff spot. He opened with 29 points, four assists, and five rebounds at Hartwick College. The senior then increased in each category with 32 points, five assists, and nine rebounds in a win at Russell Sage College.
For the season, Lovelace has scored 448 points. He is currently tied for fourth in program history with games left to play. He leads the Empire 8 Conference in scoring and is the only player averaging over 20 points per game, 20.4. He has done this without being in the top ten in minutes in the conference. Lovelace has been efficient from the line with an 87.4 free-throw percentage, second-best in the league.
Lovelace and the Wolves will look to finish the season strong. They play their final home games of the regular season this weekend as the Wolves host Nazareth University on Friday and then St. John Fisher University on Saturday.
