ALBANY, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Basketball team fell on the road on Saturday, losing at Russell Sage College 50-41 in an Empire 8 Conference game.
Emiley Anderson led Keuka College (9-12, 4-9 Empire 8) with 11 points.
Brooke Burd posted another double-double for the Green and Gold with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Russell Sage College 50 vs. Keuka College 41
The Gators took the early lead on Saturday, but Keuka rallied to tie the game back at 5-5. A jumper by
Brooke Burd with 3:32 left in a low-scoring first was Keuka's last basket of the frame. However, that was in the middle of a near four-minute drought by Sage. The Gators got a late three-point play to break the skid and lead 11-7 after one.
The late points for the home team parlayed into a 12-0 run for Russell Sage as they built a 20-7 lead over the Wolves.
Emiley Anderson knocked down a three-pointer four minutes in the second to break the run. That sparked seven unanswered by the Green and Gold as Keuka got back in the game. The Wolves trailed by six, 22-16, at the half.
Keuka College hung with Russell Sage, but the six-point halftime deficit would be as close as Keuka got it in the second half. The teams traded points, but the Gators slowly pushed their lead to double-digits. Keuka trailed 34-25 going into the final quarter.
The hosts put the game away with seven of the first eight points in the fourth quarter. The teams tied the frame 16-16 as Russell Sage secured the 50-41 victory.

- The Wolves have dropped 10 straight to the Gators. Russell Sage leads the all-time series 11-9
- Despite the loss, the 50 points is the fewest allowed by the Wolves against the Gators in over 20 years. The 41 points scored was a season-low for Keuka
- Brooke Burd added a pair of blocks to her double-double. The junior now has 33 on the season, sixth-most in program history
- Burd also climbed the single-season rebounds list. With 246 on the year, Burd stands in sixth, besting the 242 rebounds she collected last season
- The accolades continue for the junior center as Burd passed Pam Gardner for third on the career double-doubles list at Keuka College
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will now prepare for their final regular season weekend of the season. It will come on their home floor as Keuka College will host Nazareth University on Friday night and St. John Fisher University on Saturday afternoon at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.
