KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Basketball team lost to Elmira College 68-49 on Tuesday at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center.
Mary Cotter led Keuka College (7-10, 2-7 Empire 8) with 16 points in the conference game.

Both teams came out firing on Tuesday with the game tied at 9-9 early in the first. The Green and Gold would put a run together, started by a layup by
Janea Hamilton-Brown. Cotter followed with a layup and
Emiley Anderson followed with a three. A triple by
Lillian Mullen capped the 10-0 run for the Wolves as Keuka took a 19-10 lead. The Soaring Eagles would cut into it, but
Courtney Merlo knocked down a three in the final minute to give the Wolves a 22-12 lead after the first.
The second quarter flipped for the Wolves as a three by
Mary Cotter would be Keuka's only field goal of the second quarter. The Wolves did get six free throws, but Keuka would be outscored 23-9 in the frame as Elmira led 35-31 at the break.
The Soaring Eagles continued to pace the Wolves in the third quarter. The visitors outscored the Wolves 19-8 to take a 54-39 advantage into the final quarter.
Elmira College would close out the fourth 14-10 as they defeated Keuka College 68-49.

- Keuka College falls to 17-27 all-time against Elmira College. The Soaring Eagles have won the last nine meetings
- Emilee Bacon (Buffalo, N.Y. / Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart) was second on the team with nine points for Keuka. She surpassed 100 points for her first collegiate season
- Brooke Burd collected her 50th career block. Burd also broke a tie and moved into sole possession of ninth on the single-season block list at Keuka
- Burd led the Wolves with eight rebounds in the game
- Mary Cotter hit a pair of threes for the Wolves. She became just the fourth player in program history to make 150 threes in her career.
- Cotter also surpassed 900 points for her career
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves will remain at home for an Empire 8 Conference weekend. Keuka College will host Houghton University on Friday and then square off with Alfred University on Saturday afternoon.
