UTICA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Basketball team lost on Friday night at Utica University, 62-53, in an Empire 8 Conference game.
Mary Cotter led Keuka College (6-9, 1-6 Empire 8) with 17 points.
Brooke Burd recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 13 points and 13 rebounds, while
Lillian Mullen finished with 13 points as well.

The Wolves jumped out to a quick 7-2 lead over the Pioneers as
Mary Cotter scored five of the first seven for the Green and Gold. Utica responded with seven unanswered to take the lead. The Wolves tied it up late on a layup by
Brooke Burd as the game was tied 12-12 after one.
The lead would trade hands in the second quarter. The Wolves used six straight midway through the frame to grow a seven-point lead at 23-16. Keuka would look to keep that seven-point advantage at the half following a three from
Emiley Anderson, but Utica hit a three in the final seconds to make the Keuka lead 26-22 at the break.
Utica scored the first six of the second half to regain the lead. Keuka tied it back up, but the Pioneers took the lead back and grew it. The hosts led by as many as nine in the frame while outscoring the Wolves 25-13. Utica took a 47-39 lead into the final quarter.
Brooke Burd made a bucket on the opening possession, and
Mary Cotter followed with a three as the Wolves cut the margin to three a minute into the fourth. However, that would be as close as the Wolves would make it. Utica pushed their lead out to double digits and continued on to the 62-53 victory.
