PITTSFORD, N.Y. — The Keuka College men's basketball team fell just short against the St. John Fisher Cardinals in a 60-56 thriller.
Lamar Lovelace
led the Wolves with a game-high 21 points.
St. John Fisher 60 vs. Keuka College 56
Keuka College (6-8, 3-2 E8) started the first half on a 9-2 run, but St. John Fisher (8-6, 4-1 E8) responded with an 11-4 spurt to tie the game at 13 with 12 minutes remaining in the first half. Lamar Lovelace helped the Wolves go on a 10-2 run, giving Keuka an eight-point lead with seven minutes left in the half. The Cardinals kept the game close, however, as Keuka entered halftime with a 33-27 lead.
To start the second half, both teams were letting it fly, and the Wolves pushed their lead to 10 behind Caleb Nutifafa, who scored six of his eight points in the first five minutes of the half. St. John Fisher stayed close until finally going on a 10-0 run to tie the game at 48 with just under eight minutes remaining. After three more ties, the Cardinals grabbed the lead with four minutes left and held on for the victory. The Wolves had a few chances to send the game into overtime but could not get a basket to fall. Both teams started off the first half on the attack trading buckets and finding themselves tied at 112 in the opening five minutes.
Lamar Lovelace led the charge with contributing nine points in that stretch.

- Makya Morrison had two blocks, moving him into a tie for 10th all-time for blocks in a season with 27.
- Morrison also grabbed 10 rebounds against the Cardinals, giving him over 100 rebounds on the season
- Both teams were even on the boards, each totaling 33 rebounds
