Keuka Edged by Oswego State in Non-Conference Finale

KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College field hockey team played its final non-conference game of the season Tuesday against Oswego State.
Anna Dewey scored her second goal of the year, pulling even with Tori Nelson for the team lead in goals.

Both teams started slowly, with no shots in the first eight minutes of play. Alexis Dodge recorded the first attempt of the game, but it was saved. Keuka kept the pressure on with three penalty corners and another shot attempt, but the Wolves could not break through.
Keuka struck first in the second period as Anna Dewey scored off an assist from Tori Nelson to put the Wolves ahead 1-0. Oswego answered before halftime, controlling possession after the goal and finding the equalizer late in the period to make it 1-1.
Neither side generated much offense in the third. Keuka was held without a shot, while Oswego had two corners and two attempts that failed to connect.
In the fourth, Brianna Broadwell had a chance to put Keuka back in front, but her shot on goal was saved. Oswego managed just one shot in the period, but it came with four minutes left and proved decisive as the Lakers scored to secure the 2-1 win.
