ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost an Empire 8 Conference game 7-1 at Nazareth University on Friday.
Keuka College (0-7, 0-2 Empire 8) got 12 saves from their goalie
Khadeeja Reed.
Tori Nelson led the Wolves in shots in the game and tallied the lone goal for Keuka.

The Golden Flyers started off hot against the Wolves with multiple shots and a couple corners to start the first quarter. The home team broke through ten minutes into the contest with a goal for a 1-0 lead. The Wolves had a chance a minute later as they took the woman advantage on a Nazareth green card. The Green and Gold got a corner opportunity, but the ensuing shot was blocked as Nazareth led after one.
The Wolves came out fast in the second quarter. Keuka had four shots and a pair of corners in the opening minutes of the second but were unable to convert. Nazareth flipped the play and took control of the game, scoring three goals in the final six minutes to lead 4-0 at the half.
The Golden Flyers added to their lead in the third with a goal. Keuka had a pair of corners but only got one shot off of it, which was blocked.
The Wolves continued to attack in the fourth, but Nazareth got a pair of goals against the run of play. Keuka continued on the offensive end in the final frame. A late shot from
Brianna Broadwell was blocked but the action resulted in a penalty stroke for the Wolves.
Tori Nelson stepped up for Keuka and converted to put the Wolves on the board as the game ended 7-1 in favor of Nazareth.

- Tori Nelson extended her school record with her eighth career penalty stroke goal. As a team, the Wolves have scored 14 goals on strokes in their 10-year program history. Eight have come from Nelson

- Keuka College ended up with the advantage in penalty corners. The Wolves had 15 in the game while Nazareth had 10.
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves have a quick turnaround as they are back in action on Saturday for a non-conference game as a part of Green and Gold Celebration Weekend at Keuka College. The Wolves will host Wilson College at 12 p.m. at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex. It will be the first meeting between the Wolves and the Phoenix since Wilson defeated Keuka 2-1 in the 2018 Colonial States Athletic Conference Tournament.
