Wolves Fall at SUNY Morrisville

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Soccer team lost at SUNY Morrisville 1-0 in a non-conference game on Friday afternoon.

Keuka College (0-1) got six saves in goal from first-year Logan Karn.

The Wolves got the first chance at goal in the game but were unable to convert. Morrisville responded with three straight corner kicks, but they too were unable to capitalize. The game remained scoreless until the 17th minute when the Mustangs took the lead. In the 34th minute, the game turned as Keuka's starting keeper got a red card for handling the ball out of the box, dropping the Wolves to 10 men. The Wolves held off the Morrisville attack as the game remained 1-0 at the break.

Keuka College chased the game but were unable to build an attack down a man. The disadvantage widened as a second yellow, resulting in a red, was called against the Wolves, dropping Keuka down to nine. Morrisville would see the game out, outshooting Keuka College 15-0 in the second half, for the 1-0 victory.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves have the next week off to prepare for their home opener. Keuka College will host Penn College next Saturday, September 6 at 1 p.m. at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex. The Wolves have dropped three straight to the Wildcats, last defeating Penn College 4-1 at home in 2021.
