Men’s Lacrosse Drops Empire 8 Contest at Hartwick

ONEONTA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Lacrosse team lost at Hartwick College 24-4 in an Empire 8 game on Saturday afternoon.

Mitchell Wise scored a pair of goals for Keuka College (3-10, 0-7 Empire 8). Harrison Root and Logan Crannell also scored for the Wolves.

The Hawks scored the first eight goals of the game on Saturday. The Wolves snapped the run as Kaleb Glessing found Mitchell Wise for the goal with 2:25 left in the first. Hartwick added a goal with 17 seconds remaining in the quarter to lead 9-1 after one.

Hartwick put the game away in the second, outscoring Keuka College 10-0 in the frame to lead 19-1 at the half.

The Wolves had their best quarter in the third with three goals, but the hosts were able to grow their lead with four of their own. Hartwick added a goal in the fourth as they defeated the Wolves 24-4.

KC Notes:
  • Keuka College falls to 0-7 all-time against Hartwick College
  • Jaxson Tucker made 23 saves for the Wolves, and Kaiden Larsen added six stops. The 29 combined saves tied the program record for saves in a game, previously set against Alfred University in 2001
  • With his 23 saves, Jaxson Tucker moved his season total to 174 saves. The first-year keeper now has the third-most saves in a season in program history
  • Cole Davis went 9-13 on faceoffs for the Wolves
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves return to the Jephson Community Athletic Complex for their final two games of the season. Keuka College will next face St. John Fisher University on Wednesday, April 23 at 4 p.m.
