WINTER HAVEN, Fla. — The Keuka College Baseball team earned a doubleheader sweep of Framingham State University on their spring trip in Florida on Tuesday.

The Wolves took control of the game early on Tuesday. In the bottom of the first, the first two batters walked for Keuka and Kyle Wood delivered an RBI single. Derek Novicki followed with a two-run double to make it 3-0. The Wolves added a run on an error for the early 4-0 advantage.

Keuka College doubled their advantage in the second inning. Alex Evans doubled to lead off the inning. Wood followed with a single and Novicki was hit by the pitch to load the bases. Senior Carlos Fantauzzi cleared the bases with a three-run double. Ian Ruhmel added an RBI single to give the Wolves an 8-0 lead.

The lead was more than enough for Hunter Corkran. The first year pitched went six innings for the Wolves with three strikeouts. He allowed just five hits and didn't surrender a walk.

The Wolves added some insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth as Keuka College scored six runs on seven hits to increase their lead to 15-2. Framingham State scored seven in the last inning, but Danny Swift got a strikeout to end it with Keuka winning 15-9.

Lead Wolf: It was an efficient day at the plate for Carlos Fantauzzi. The senior had two hits, a single and a double, but drove in five runs for the Green and Gold

Playing as the visiting team, the Wolves kept the momentum going as Tyler Lewandowski singled to lead off the game. He then stole second and third and scored on a groundout for the 1-0 lead.

The Wolves then plated four in the second. Ethan Drinon led off with a double and scored on a hit by Mike Dutch. The Wolves would get three straight RBI hits later in the inning as a double by Lewandowski was followed by singles by Evans and Wood.

The Rams led the bottom of the inning off with a home run, but the Wolves answered back, adding a pair of unearned runs in the fourth.

Kyle Wood had an RBI double in the sixth and Mike Dutch had an RBI single in the seventh to serve as insurance. The Wolves closed it out for the 9-2 victory.

Lead Wolf: Wyatt Ernst went the distance on the mound for the Wolves. It was his second career complete game and first in a Keuka College uniform. Ernst allowed just six hits and two runs in his seven innings of work while striking out a pair.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves continue their spring trip on Wednesday with a pair of games against a fellow New York school. Keuka College will play Hamilton College in a doubleheader in Winter Haven, Florida. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
