KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Lacrosse team earned their first victory of the season, defeating Hilbert College 13-3 at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex on Friday.
Brooke Bonetti led Keuka College (1-2) with five goals in the game. First-year
Lainie Forde was the leading point-getter for the Wolves with four goals and three assists for seven total points.
Tori Nelson added a hat trick for the Wolves.

The Wolves controlled the play early on with multiple offensive chances. The Green and Gold broke through when
Tori Nelson found
Lainie Forde in front of the goal for the 1-0 lead. Minutes later, Keuka doubled their lead with
Brooke Bonetti getting the tally. Keuka used strong defense to force a turnover late in the first quarter.
Katie Deatherage intercepted the goalie's pass on the clear, dished it to Forde, and Forde scored to give the Wolves a 3-0 advantage after one.
After stopping a clear attempt to end the first quarter, Keuka used a good clear and transition to score in the second.
Lauren Vitello stopped a Hawk's free-position shot. The Wolves successfully cleared and were running.
Tori Nelson passed it or
Maddie Fassinger for her first of the season to make it 4-0. Hilbert got on the board but Keuka responded quickly with Bonetti converting a free-position chance and then Nelson and Forde hooked up again for a goal, this time with
Tori Nelson scoring and
Lainie Forde getting the assist. Hilbert answered back to make it 6-2, but
Lainie Forde scored her third of the half to send the Wolves into halftime leading 7-2.
Keuka came out of the halftime break fast, scoring two goals in the first 2:11 of play. Nelson and Forde got the goals. Forde then set up
Brooke Bonetti for a goal to make it 10-2 in favor of Keuka. The final eight minutes of the frame would be scoreless as Keuka took a 10-2 lead into the final quarter.
The combination of Forde to Bonetti struck again to open the fourth quarter. Then
Katie Deatherage sent a ball to the front of the goal and
Brooke Bonetti shoveled it in as the Wolves led by 10.
Tori Nelson capped the scoring for the Wolves. Hilbert scored one late but the game was in hand as Keuka College continued onto the 13-3 victory.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves remain at home next Tuesday as they face Elmira College at 4 p.m. at the Jepshon Community Athletic Complex. It will be the first time the two schools have faced each other since the 2019 season and will be recorded as a non-conference game this season.
