KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team lost 87-65 at home on Saturday to Hilbert College in a non-conference game.
Akinlana Popoola led Keuka College (2-1) with 15 points.
Will Tehan added 12 in the loss.
Hilbert College 87 at Keuka College 65
Hilbert College came out as fast as you possibly could against Keuka College. The visiting Hawks went 8-9 from three-point territory in the opening half. The Wolves battled to stay in the game. A three by
Damon Brumfield cut the margin to 12, 27-15 midway through the first half. The Wolves would get the game back to the 12-point margin multiple times in the half, but that would be as close as Keuka would make it. A four-point play sparked a 14-0 run for Hilbert as they extended their lead. Hilbert led 54-28 at the half.
Hilbert played with the lead in the second half and kept the margin against the Wolves. Keuka outscored Hilbert 37-33 in the second half, but the Hawks defeated the Wolves 87-65.

Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves are back in action next weekend as they travel up the road to Geneva to play in a tournament at Hobart College. The Green and Gold will face the host Statesmen in the opening round on Friday night.
