Field Hockey Falls at Fisher

PITTSFORD, N.Y. — The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost on Saturday at St. John Fisher University 7-0 in an Empire 8 Conference game.

Jordan Nichols made nine saves in goal for Keuka College (2-13, 2-6 Empire 8).

Possession was battled for early in the game, but three goals in a 1:22 span in the middle of the quarter pushed the game in favor of the Cardinals. The Wolves got a late corner in the final seconds but the shot by Anna Dewey was saved.

Nichols made a pair of early saves for the Wolves. Keuka had a corner but was unable to take advantage of it. St. John Fisher added a goal in the frame to the lead 4-0 at the half.

Play bounded back and forth in the third quarter. St. John Fisher controlled play early with multiple shots, but the field flipped in favor of the Wolves. Keuka College had a pair of corners and multiple shots midway through the quarter. However, the shots were blocked or wide. The Cardinals added a goal in the final minutes to take a 5-0 advantage into the final quarter.

The Cardinals scored early in the fourth quarter and capped the scoring in the final seconds as they defeated the Wolves 7-0 on Saturday.

  • Saturday was the seventh all-time meeting between the Wolves and the Cardinals. Keuka College remains in search of their first victory
  • Jordan Nichols now has 161 saves this season, fourth-most in program history
  • Tori Nelson had four of Keuka College's six shots on Saturday
