— The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team fought hard against Hartwick College but ultimately fell 3-1 in Empire 8 Conference action on Friday nigh.
Dayna Edholm (Buffalo, N.Y. / Sweet Home) led Keuka (5-15, 1-7 Empire 8) with a team-high 20 kills, while
Nina Scott (Honeoye Falls, N.Y. / Honeoye Falls-Lima) added 14 kills for the Wolves.

Keuka College started strong, taking an early lead with two service aces from Edholm to go up 3-1. The set stayed close, with Keuka pushing through solid defense and trading points with Hartwick. A key service ace from
Gabby Fenton (Buckeye, Ariz. / The Odyssey Institute of Advanced and International Studies) gave the Wolves a narrow 17-16 advantage. The Hawks responded with a four-point run but Keuka answered with kills from middle blockers
Bryn Straub (Irondequoit, N.Y. / Irondequoit) and
Sydney Haust (Seneca Falls, N.Y. / Mynderse Academy) to get back within one. Hartwick would finish with another four-point run, closing out the set 25-21 despite Keuka's strong start.
The Wolves came out dominant in the second set, taking an early lead with aggressive attacks from Scott and Edholm. Keuka controlled the net with strong blocks and forced errors from Hartwick, jumping ahead to an 18-8 advantage. The Wolves sealed the set 25-13, with Edholm and Scott combining for an impressive 12 kills in the set to tie the match 1-1.
Hartwick regained momentum in the third set, creating an early lead with several quick kills and capitalizing on Keuka's errors. Despite Straub and Edholm's best efforts at the net to narrow the gap, Hartwick surged ahead mid-set. They maintained their lead and closed the set 25-16, moving ahead 2-1 in the match.
The final set was another back-and-forth contest. Keuka stayed competitive early, with Hunziker distributing effectively to both Scott and Edholm. Despite being tied at 17, the Hawks regained control with a 9-2 run to end the set 25-19. Hartwick College won the match 3-1.

- This was the first meeting of the two teams since Keuka College beat the Hawks in five sets in the E8 semi-finals last season
- Graduate student Casey Hunziker (Rome, N.Y. / Rome Free Academy) surpassed 500 assists this season with her 36 on the night
- Dayna Edholm remains at the top of the Empire 8 Conference in kills per set with an impressive 4.03
