KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Field Hockey team lost at home to St. John Fisher University 6-0 on Wednesday in an Empire 8 Conference game.

Keuka College got off to a good start on Wednesday with multiple shots and corner attempts in the first two minutes. Both teams settled into the game and St. John Fisher started to generate chances. They scored two goals in the final three minutes of the frame for the lead.
St. John Fisher retained the momentum in the second quarter as they added three goals to extend the lead. The Wolves looked to capitalize in transition as
Kirstin Billings charged ahead but Keuka was unable to score as the Cardinals led 5-0 at the half.
The third quarter was largely a battle for possession as the two teams combined for just three shots and neither team had a corner.
The Cardinals saw the game out as they outshot Keuka 14-0 in the final quarter. St. John Fisher added a goal as they defeated the Wolves 6-0.

- Keuka College remains in search of their first victory over St. John Fisher University
- Factoring in defensive saves from Tori Nelson and Jill McGinley the Wolves had 20 saves in the game, tying for tenth-most in program history
- It was the fifth career defensive save for McGinley, moving her into eighth in the program record book
- Jordan Nichols now has 73 saves on the season, seventh-most in program history
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves are right back in action this Saturday with a home Empire 8 game against Elmira College. Keuka College defeated Elmira College 2-1 and look to maintain momentum as they won the last two meetings. The Wolves and Soaring Eagles are set to square off at noon on Saturday at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex.
