AURORA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Lacrosse team defeated Wells College 19-1 in a non-conference game on Wednesday evening.
Balanced scoring guided the way for Keuka College (2-10, 0-6 Empire 8) as 11 different Wolves netted goals. In total, all 12 non-goalies that played for Keuka on Wednesday recorded at least a point.
Brooke Bonetti led the way with five goals and three assists in the win.
Keuka College 19 at Wells College 1
The Wolves scored a goal in each of the first three minutes of play on Wednesday with
Madeline Greene getting the first and
Brooke Bonetti following with the next two. Wells pulled one back with 12:11 left in the first, but it would prove to be their only goal of the game. The Wolves answered back with more goals in the first quarter to give the Green and Gold an 11-1 lead after one.
The second quarter was low in terms of action. With the clock running, each team had just two shots in the frame and both of Wells' attempts were wide of frame.
Madeline Greene scored the lone goal of the second as Keuka led 12-1 at the half.
The Wolves saw the game out in the second half.
Erin Patterson scored for the Wolves 28 seconds into the third quarter. The rest of the quarter was highlighted by first career goals as
Terri Clarke,
Liz Spin, and
Jillian McGinley all scored their first for Keuka. The Wolves took a 16-1 lead into the final quarter.
Keuka College added three more in the final frame with McGinley getting her second,
Brooke Bonetti capping her career-best game, and
Tori Nelson scoring for the Wolves. Keuka College would defeat Wells College 19-1.

- The goaltending tandem of Alyssa Chase and Emily Parkhurst split the game in goal with each recording a pair of saves in their 30 minutes of action
- As a team, Keuka College now has made 130 saves on the season. It is the third-most saves in a season in program history
- Wednesday was the 20th time in program history that Keuka College Women's Lacrosse has allowed one goal or fewer in a game
Up Next for Keuka College: The Women's Lacrosse team has one final game in the 2023 season. Keuka College will host Utica University at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex this Saturday at 1 p.m. Prior to the game, the team will honor the seniors on the roster with their annual Senior Day Celebration.
