WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — The Keuka College Men's Lacrosse team lost their first game of the 2023 season, dropping a non-conference game at Lycoming College 14-6 on Wednesday.
Six different players scored for Keuka College (0-1, 0-0 Empire 8) on Wednesday.
Enrique Castillo was a team leader scoring his first career goal, winning 16 faceoffs, and collecting 11 ground balls.

The Wolves got out to a quick start, striking first on Wednesday with
Brandon MacDonell netting the first goal of the season. The Warriors tied it, but Keuka answered right back less than two minutes later. Nicolas Pipher set up
Devon Gerhardt for the tally to make it 2-1. The game would be tied 2-2 after the first quarter.
Lycoming jumped out to a lead, scoring four goals over the first seven minutes of the second quarter to make it 6-2. The Wolves pulled one back as
Ian Rickard scored on the man-up with six minutes left in the half. That would close the scoring for either team in the half, however, as Lycoming led 6-3 at the break.
The Warriors started the second half with possession on the man-up and quickly added to their lead. Lycoming outscored the Wolves 4-1 in the third with the lone Keuka goal coming from
Enrique Castillo. The hosts led 10-4 after three quarters.
Lycoming scored the first four goals of the final quarter. Keuka College closed with goals by Pipher and
Matt Jerman in the final minutes, but it was not enough as the Wolves fell 14-6 on Wednesday.

- Enrique Castillo entered the game with 20 faceoff wins over his seven career games. His 16 wins are more than Keuka had in all but one game last season
- MacDonell, Gerhardt, and Pipher each had a goal and assist in the game
- Dylan Hoad made 12 stops in goal for the Wolves
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves have their home opener at the Jephson Community Athletic Complex this Saturday. Keuka College will host Thiel College at 2 p.m. It will be the first-ever meeting between the Wolves and the Tomcats.
