The Hornets took the early lead in the top of the first. They had four hits and took advantage of three Keuka College errors. The big blast was a grand slam that gave Kalamazoo a 6-0 lead.

Kalamazoo added a run in the third, but the Wolves answered in the bottom of the inning. Shane Daley singled for the Wolves, then Nolan Quinn connected for a two-run home run to make it a 7-2 game. Kalamazoo was unphased as the Hornets would grow a 13-2 lead throughout the afternoon.

The Wolves got one back in the sixth on an RBI double by RJ Murphy. Then in the seventh, Nolan Quinn singled and then scored on a triple by Devyn Scheidt.

Keuka scored on a passed ball and then had three consecutive bases-loaded walks in the eighth to make it 13-8. It would not be enough, however, as Kalamazoo continued onto the 14-8 victory.
