Wolves Drop Empire 8 Game at Nazareth

PITTSFORD, N.Y. — The Keuka College Men's Basketball team lost at Nazareth College 81-59 on Tuesday night in an Empire 8 Conference matchup.

Keuka College (7-12, 3-11 Empire 8) was led by Devin Milton with 17 points. Jaden Keasey added 14 points and collected a team-high eight rebounds.

Nazareth College 81 vs. Keuka College 59
It was a slow start for both teams as it was tied 7-7 six minutes into the game on Tuesday. Nazareth College took the lead with a three, but the Wolves answered right back with a layup by Devin Milton cutting it back to a one-point game. The hosts used an 8-0 run to extend their lead to 14 points late in the half. Milton knocked down a three with 29 seconds left, but the Golden Flyers got a put-back layup in the final seconds to lead 37-26 at the half.

The Golden Flyers opened the second half with 10 straight points, forcing the Wolves into a timeout. The break worked as Lorenzo Bicknese and Kobe Schriver hit back-to-back threes for the Wolves. After a Nazareth layup, Schriver set up Daniel Obunse for a three to make it 49-35. The 14-point margin would be as close as Keuka would make it, however. Nazareth saw the second half out as the Golden Flyers defeated the Wolves 81-59.

KC Notes:
  • The Wolves fall to 6-24 all-time to the Golden Flyers
  • Along with leading the team in scoring, Devin Milton led the Wolves with three assists
  • Milton now has 437 career field goals, passing Judd Leonhardt '02 for sixth all-time
  • Keuka College had eight three-pointers made by six different players
  • The Wolves tied their season-low with just eight turnovers in the game
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves enter a key weekend as Keuka College remains in the hunt for a postseason berth. Keuka College plays at Elmira College on Friday night. Keuka then plays at Alfred University on Saturday. The Wolves are looking for revenge as the Soaring Eagles and Saxons both defeated Keuka on their home floor earlier this season.
