HAMILTON, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Basketball team played up in competition on Wednesday playing at Division I Colgate University. The Wolves fell to the Red Raiders 97-22.
Maddie Kramer and
Mary Cotter led Keuka College (1-5, 0-0 Empire 8) with four points apiece on Wednesday.

Sydney Brown knocked down a three in the opening minute for the Wolves, but the Red Raiders responded with a 16-0 run before
Mary Cotter hit a basket for the Wolves.
It was Cotter scoring again for the Wolves in the second quarter with
Maddie Kramer getting the assist. At the other end of the floor,
Janea Hamilton-Brown collected a rebound and found Kramer for a basket for the Wolves. Colgate closed the half with a 50-9 lead over the Wolves.
Janea Hamilton-Brown grabbed an offensive rebound and hit a jumper four minutes into the second half for the Wolves. Later,
Caiden Crego drove the lane and made a layup for the Green and Gold.
The Wolves had their best quarter in the fourth.
Sophia Babcock found
Meghan Ellis for a jumper. Babcock then hit a three for the Wolves. Keuka College closed with a jumper by
Bri Galan and
Maddie Kramer, but the Red Raiders won the game 97-22.
KC Notes:
- The series between Keuka College and Colgate University dates back to the 1975-76 season. The two teams played the next three seasons with the last meeting coming in the 1978-79 season
- Colgate now leads the all-time series 3-2
- Wednesday was the first time Keuka College has faced a Division I school while Keuka was a Division III school. The last current member of Division I faced Keuka was Binghamton University in 1997-98, but at the time, the Bearcats were a member of Division III
- Meghan Ellis and Janea Hamilton-Brown led the Wolves with four rebounds apiece
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves open Empire 8 play on Tuesday as Keuka College hosts Houghton University at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Complex. Last time out, the Wolves defeated the Highlanders at Keuka College 54-51 in the final weekend of the 2022-23 season.
