KEUKA PARK, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Volleyball team set a new program record by recording their tenth home win of the season as they defeated Elmira College 3-1 in an Empire 8 match at the JMW Recreation and Athletics Center on Saturday.
Senior
Camey Knapp had a big game for Keuka College (17-4, 5-1 Empire 8) with 16 kills and a .625 hitting percentage.
Dayna Edholm also posted 16 kills in the win.
Casey Hunziker had 38 assists and
Emma Sipos led with 20 digs.
Keuka College 3 vs. Elmira College 1 – 22-25, 25-6, 25-23, 25-15
It was a rough start for the Green and Gold as Keuka College hit negative in the opening set, but they flipped the script in the second. The Wolves had 12 kills in the second set against just one error. Conversely, Elmira hit negative in the set as the Wolves cruised to a 25-6 victory to level the match.
The Wolves carried the momentum as they jumped out to a 6-1 lead in the third. Elmira rallied to cut the margin down to one multiple times and later tied the set. A kill by
Dayna Edholm pushed set point for the Wolves at 24-22 and the senior ended it two plays later as the Wolves took a 2-1 lead in the match, winning the third 25-23.
Elmira College looked to extend the match as the Soaring Eagles took a 10-6 lead in the fourth set. The Wolves rallied, however, as Keuka College converted the next nine points to take a 15-10 lead. After Elmira ended the run, the Wolves rattled off six more points to take control. Keuka College ended the match with a block by
Sarah Paradiso and
Sydney Haust combined for a block as the Wolves won the fourth 25-15 to win the match in four sets.

- Keuka College has now won two in a row over Elmira College but the Soaring Eagles still lead the all-time series 8-38
- With their win last night against Alfred, Keuka College clinched a berth in the Empire 8 Women's Volleyball Tournament for the second time in the three years the Wolves have been members of the conference
- Keuka College set a new program record by winning their tenth straight game at home and going a perfect 10-0 on their home floor
- 16 kills by Camey Knapp tied her career-high for a game. She has also set a new personal high for kills in a season.
- Knapp's .625 hitting percentage is the second-best hitting percentage in a four-set match in program history
- Dayna Edholm moves to seventh on the single-season kills list at Keuka College. The senior leads the Wolves with 314 this season
- Casey Hunziker had a pair of aces and climbed to ninth on the career aces list for the Wolves
- Emma Sipos led in digs, but the Wolves had four different players record double-digits. Dayna Edholm posted 11 digs and Casey Hunziker and Jessica Throop each had 10 in the win
Up Next for Keuka College: The Wolves are now looking ahead to their final Empire 8 matches of the regular season. Keuka College will play at Nazareth University next Friday night. The Wolves will then play at St. John Fisher University in a tri-match on Saturday to close out the regular season.
