ONEONTA, N.Y. — The Keuka College Women's Soccer team opened Empire 8 play with a scoreless draw at Hartwick College on Saturday.
Sam Pelcher made 10 saves in Keuka College's (2-1-3, 0-0-1 E8) draw.

The host Hawks started out on the front foot against the Wolves on Saturday. Hartwick would outshoot Keuka College 8-0 in the opening 45 minutes. They also had a 5-0 advantage in corners. Five of Hartwick's shots were on goal, and Pelcher was there to save all five of them as the game remained 0-0 at the half.
Hartwick continued to press the Wolves. Keuka got its first shot in the 50th minute, but the
Kayla Suppa effort went wide. The Wolves had three other efforts on goal in the half, but all were saved by the Hartwick keeper. At the other end, Hartwick had 14 shots and four corners. The hosts had only five of their attempts on goal, however, and
Sam Pelcher repeated her first half performance with five saves as the game ended in a 0-0 draw.

- Saturday's draw was the first result for the Wolves in seven trips to Hartwick College. The Wolves are 0-7-3 all-time against the Hawks
- The two teams have now played to scoreless draws in back-to-back seasons
- Sam Pelcher has posted back-to-back shutouts. In total, Keuka College has conceded in only one of their last five games
- It was the 14th scoreless tie in program history and first time ever that Keuka College has posted scoreless draws in back-to-back games. Keuka College and Brockport tied 0-0 last Wednesday
